The Devon Rural Housing Partnership, of which Devon Communities Together is a partner, have now published their end of year figures for the financial year 2015/16.

These show that the partnership was involved in the delivery of 78 new affordable homes on 10 different schemes with a further 57 homes starting on site during the same period.

The partnership also has a very healthy number of affordable homes in the pipeline with 134 currently on site on 17 different schemes and planning permission approved for a further 116 homes.

These new homes are located across 7 rural Local Authority areas – East Devon, Mid Devon, North Devon, South Hams, Teignbridge, Torridge and West Devon and include homes for social rent, affordable rent (up to 80% market value), shared ownership, where the buyer pays for a percentage of the home and rents the remaining percentage from the housing association and discounted market homes which are sold at a discount of at least 20%.

The homes are designed and finished to a very high standard and are built to the most stringent sustainability codes. They incorporate the latest energy saving technology in order to provide ecologically sound homes with low carbon emissions and extremely low fuel costs for the tenants.
