Independent peer advice available to support community projects.

Are you about to embark on a new project, or have started and need some guidance? Our peers have already been through the highs and lows and are now willing to share their experiences with you.

Experts have registered with Connecting Communities to offer support and advice to those who are involved in the start up, growth and sustainability of projects that serve our rural communities.

Connecting Communities has a collection of peers with skills and experience across the following themes:

  • Housing
  • Health and Social Care
  • Community buildings
  • Sport and Leisure
  • Environmental
  • Social Enterprise
  • Neighbourhood planning

Our aim is to connect you with these experienced individuals who know all about those issues that you are likely to encounter with your project.
This model of peer support has proven to be successful, with projects developing quicker and achieving better results by connecting knowledgeable peers with communities who are passionate about their cause.
This scheme is currently only available to organisations in West Devon and South Hams.

To find a peer to support your project or to volunteer as a peer we would like to hear from you.
