Knock for Your Neighbour

Could you do more to support your neighbours?

Knock For your Neighbour Campaign is part of Devon Communities Together's Community Unity project, which is is a Community Volunteer pilot project undertaking a range of development activities in Lynton and Lynmouth, South Molton and Holsworthy, delivering practical training to existing community groups and local volunteers, with the aim of increasing Community Unity and providing communities with the skills they need to support each other.

One of the ways we hope to achieve these aims is by asking community members to pledge to introduce themselves to their neighbours and to offer assistance when needed.

To do this we are providing the community with postcards which they can post through their neighbour's door, which will provide that first introduction and let them know that someone is there for them if they ever need it. We are then inviting everyone to attend a special coffee morning where you will be able to meet even more of your neighbours and share stories of neighbourliness!

Have you received one of our pledge cards? Do you wish to make your pledge online? You can do so right here.
