Caroline was born and raised on Dartmoor just outside of the tiny village of Brentor.
She graduated from Bournemouth University, attaining a degree in Scriptwriting for Film & Television. Following this, she made the move to London, where she worked for digital media organisation, producing and repurposing content for the then ‘new wave’ of interactive technology.
Moving home to Devon brought her to a temporary role in social housing, which began 18 years working for Housing Associations. In this time she worked across the groups in lettings, income, neighbourhood management and independent living roles. Her favourite part of the job was working with people and communities, helping them work together to grow and improve the areas they live in.
Caroline joined DCT in July 2021, finally weaving her housing experience with passion for writing and technology as the Community Housing Hub Coordinator.
She now lives on the edge of the moors with her family. In her evenings she still writes short stories and hopes to one day finish one of her many scripts.
I love Devon because…
Being on Dartmoor, you can feel completely free and completely at home at the same time. There is so much to see and what you have seen you never tire of.
