Devon Vaccine Outreach Programme

1st February 2023 - 24th March 2023

Devon Communities Together is working in partnership with NHS Devon and Devon County Council to gather community feedback and understand the Covid 19 vaccination barriers, help share information about the vaccine, and signpost people to the support that is available. We will be working specifically with communities in North Devon and Mid Devon.

A lower uptake of the vaccine has been identified in a number of specific community groups, and we hope to engage with these groups to gather feedback and provide information to address any concerns that are raised. These groups are:

  • People with a learning disability, neurodiversity or a severe mental illness (SMI)
  • Younger people
  • Vulnerable migrants and refugees
  • Carers
  • Faith and belief groups
  • People experiencing drug or alcohol dependency

To gather the required information, we will run a series of face to face community events, allowing individuals to share their thoughts in a safe space.
