Laura moved to Devon over 20 years ago, having originally come from London, and has raised her children here. Community has always been central to her life and work, which naturally led her into a career in community organising and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), primarily working in the VCSE sector in Exeter.
Over time, her roles have expanded into more operational work within the sector. Her belief is that strong systems and processes are essential foundations for effective community development, creating a supportive environment where staff can do their best work and communities can truly flourish.

I echo the team’s sentiments, of Devon's proximity to the Moors and the sea. I also really value being able to switch straight into holiday mode after work, whether that’s heading to the beach for a swim and chippy tea, or an impromptu sleepover on the moors.
