COURSE DESCRIPTION

This free event as part of the Listening Ear pilot project is designed to support Devon SME and micro businesses and the people behind them through COVID-19.

Our businesses do not operate separately from ourselves as people. This session is designed to think about business support holistically, from learning and development, to finances, how your business intersects with your everyday life, and the importance of self care and peer support as part of a thriving business.

The event is open to any business owner located in Devon (including Plymouth and Torbay) and you do not have to be accessing the Listening Ear service to attend.

In this session you will hear from two expert guest speakers:

  • Lynsey Riddett from the South West Growth Hub will speak on support opportunities.
  • Matthew Porter, Business Coach at Devon Communities Together will speak on the innovative 'Balanced Horizon Canvass'; a model that you will be able to implement straight away to help you shape your business and your whole self to create positive change. Matthew will root his talk in examples from his own life and the many businesses he has supported.

The session will also have plenty of times for Q&A with our speakers and facilitated networking and peer support.
