DCRF Forum September 2025

Devon Community Resilience Forum holds a twice-yearly, all-day Forum event where we bring resilience and emergency planning experts together to provide advice and information.

 

Beehive Centre

In October we met at the Beehive Centre in Honiton with representatives from the following organisations:

  • East Devon District Council, 
  • Devon County Council, 
  • Environment Agency, 
  • Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue, 
  • BT Digital Voice, 
  • PCE Tech Ltd 
  • National Grid. 

Their presentations are below. Several other emergency planning experts contributed from the floor, including from Devon Highways team, Teignbridge, and Mid Devon District Councils and Devon and Cornwall Police.

The morning was taken up with a desktop emergency exercise based around a severe weather incident. The slides setting out the incident are below. Delegates worked in groups to consider their responses to various stages of the emergency.
